Reasoned, logical, accurate, and standing firm in the face of knee-jerk responses not only by the gun-control crowd, but even by Republicans, who were elected to protect our rights, not rush to give them away.

The NRA - much like the SLPC - exists simply to frighten people (Second Amendment folks in this instance) into donating and filling their pockets. They have given up so many of our rights, by helping to actually write gun control legislation, starting with the NFA in '34, continuing with the GCA in '68, and including the debacle of the Lautenberg Amendment.

Doubt me? Look for a copy of the March 1968 American Rifleman, where the NRA brags about NFA '34 and GCA '68, saying how they proved they could be "reasonable", were willing to compromise with the other side. But the NRA _never_ has gotten anything in return from the gun control crowd in exchange for whittling away at our Second Amendment rights.

"The National Rifle Association has been in support of
workable, enforceable gun control legislation since its very
inception in 1871."

NRA Executive Vice President Franklin L. We think it's reasonable to expect full enforcement of federal firearms laws by the federal government. ...
