"Without Even Notifying The Police"

You might respect anti-gun politicians a little bit if they brought reason to the debate. However, given the statement below from Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) in response to the introduction of The Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2015, there is little chance of that happening.
“This bill is a menace to New York and would allow potentially dangerous people from other states to carry concealed weapons in our grocery stores, movie theaters and stadiums, without even notifying the police,” Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) told the Daily News.

“It is a nightmare for our law enforcement officers and the community, and I will fight this legislation tooth and nail.”
Imagine that.

People would actually enter a grocery store without even notifying the police that they are carrying concealed.

The horror.

  1. Not just any people who "... would actually enter a grocery store without even notifying the police that they are carrying concealed." No, these are people who calmly waded through capricious government rules, fees, tests, fingerprints and other hoops to jump over in an attempt to get a God-given right to self defense.

People who, like in Florida, have committed crimes with those weapons at a mind-bogglingly small rate; less than 1/100 of 1%, .0083%.

Much, much less likely to commit a crime than the rest of the general public at large.

Yeah, Chuckie.. these folks are your problem, not the gang bangers in the city that'll kill anyone for street cred.

  2. Love it! And people like Chucky think we are the provincials. He should get out more. Here in the free states, people like me shop all the time carrying concealed. And miracle of miracles, nobody is shot! Not like in Noo Yawk, where the police shoot 8 or 9 people trying to get one perp.

  3. Hmmm... I did that yesterday, and nobody got shot, nobody panicked, and nobody knew I was carrying...

  5. It would be such a nightmare to have upstanding citizens carry concealed, you know, with a proven record of reduced crime, committing less crime (as noted previously), and looking to generally protect their families and the public. I'm sure the police will be ok with people doing what they've done in other states for 20+ years, unless of course, you don't think they are professional enough Senator....
Chuckie, in a state with 6 cities in the top 100 most dangerous, you may want to rethink your absurd position; it hasn't worked, ever (Buffalo, Schenectady, Rochester, Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, and Niagara Falls, NY, from NeighborhoodScout, 2015).

  6. Potentially dangerous people are already carrying guns in New York without notifying police. They're called criminals.

  7. With a lower conviction rate than police:
