The quote of the day comes from former Sen. Fred Thompson (R-TN) regarding the trouncing that Obama took in the first presidential debate and the attempt to blame John Kerry for inadequately preparing Obama. Here is what he posted on Facebook:

Some members of Obama's campaign staff are now blaming John Kerry for insufficiently preparing Obama for the debate.

Guys, don't blame the jockey if your Shetland pony can't win the Kentucky Derby.

Fred Thompson On Bloomberg's Arizona "Investigation"

From Fred's Facebook page:

New York's Mayor Bloomberg says undercover investigators working for New York City were illegally allowed to buy semi-automatic pistols at an Arizona gun show.

I don't get it. If Bloomberg wanted an illegal gun, why didn't he just go to any bar in Brooklyn?

Fred lays out some thoughts on personal responsibility. It is is a shame he didn't get further in the 2008 Republican primaries. I think he'd be a damn sight better President than the one we have now.
