Tweet Of The Day

Reflecting on the results of the presidential election in France wherein Emmanuel Macron will face Marine Le Pen in a run-off, David Burge - IowaHawk - tweeted this.

I don't know how he comes up with this stuff but damn that was good.

Tweet Of The Day

Our problem as mere peons is that we just don't have the mental wherewithal to comprehend the sheer genius of President Barack Hussain Obama. Fortunately, the Iowahawk explains it for us.

Umm, Because It Only Selectively Backups Emails?

A Tweet by Iowahawk included a link to this 2009 Tweet from Sonasoft. They are the company whose software is used by the Internal Revenue Service to back up emails on the IRS network.

Sonasoft's slogan is "email archiving done right". I guess by right they mean according to the transparency standards of the Obama Administration. Either that or the software did properly back up Lois Lerner and her cohorts' emails and someone is lying about not being able to locate them.

If I were the CEO of Sonasoft, I'd be pushing the last explanation.

Iowahawk Satirizes Operation Fast And Furious

Iowahawk is one of the best satirists on the scene today. In a post he did today, he imagines a phone call between President Obama and a Mexican leader. The topic of Operation Fast and Furious comes up because the Mexican leader's son was murdered by the drug cartels with a firearm provided by ATF. An excerpt is below but follow the link to read the whole thing.
Now, Juan, let's not jump to conclusions here. We both know there are lots of machine gun murders in Mexico, and it doesn't necessarily mean that they're all...

Yes, Juan, I got your messages. As a matter of fact that's why I'm calling this afternoon. I've had my people look into this thing and...

Mmhmm.

Mmmhmm.

Now... now Juan... let's just calm down here a minute. Just, okay.. okay... let me please explain, okay? See, the funny thing is, it turns out, a couple years back there was, well, this stimulus program money, and then there were these brainstorming sessions, where, well, there were some ideas what to do with it. So, anyhoo, one of the ideas that happened was, 'hey, what if there were, say, 2000 machine guns that got sent to Mexican drug lords?' and so forth.

Well no, of course we couldn't tell you. It would have ruined the surprise.

Well, okay, I guess the gato is out of the ol' bag-o. You know that drug cartel war problem you've been having? So, well, the idea was, hey, wouldn't it be great if somehow we could put a trace on the machine guns, and then, surprise! It'd be a like a whole pinata full of drug lord information.

Mmhm.

Why? Well see, if we traced all the machine guns we gave to your drug lords, then we could all learn how your drug lords get their machine guns.

War Is No Excuse For Forgetting One's Manners

The Iowahawk has just posted some "war etiquette tips from Senator Lindsey Graham of the Charleston Grahams". Senator Graham, as some may remember, is aghast at the uproar in Afghanistan that the Rev. Terry Jones caused by burning a Koran and is seeking ways to make it illegal.

My only suggestion is not to be eating or drinking while reading as you might choke.

Actually, Senator Graham is from the Central Grahams as in Central, South Carolina and was a member of Pi Kappa Phi. But who cares when the Iowahawk is at work eviscerating pompous members of the Senate.

Now This Is Something I'd Pay To Watch

From David Burge, the Iowahawk, comes this modest proposal on a way to control the growth of the bureaucracy:
Idea: Fed agency caged death match tournament. Each bureau given regulatory power over the others. Survivor gets shipped to Cuba.
I nominate TSA to be one of the first agencies to be featured in this tournament. Who should be their worthy opponent?

TSA Meets Gadsden Flag

Leave it to the Iowahawk to come up with the best response to the TSA's new "enhanced" pat down procedures. If you aren't reading him on a regular basis, you are missing one of the best satirists on the Internet. Plus he likes cars. Real cars with real engines that make loud noise.
