Enough Already With The Zombie Theme!

I think most reasonable people - even ones who love all things zombie - can agree that the zombie theme has jumped the shark a long time ago. We have zombie killing ammo from Hornady, we have zombie green ARs, and now, we have Trulock Zombie Slayer Choke tubes.

From the product description:
New for 2014, the Trulock Tactical Zombie Slayer Choke is available by special order as part of the Tactical Choke Tube line. Available in zombie hunter green, the Zombie Slayer Choke is designed to give optimum performance with breaching rounds, buckshot and rifled slugs to eliminate the need to change muzzle devices when alternating ammunition from breaching rounds to buckshot or rifled slugs.

The crenulated muzzle ensures positive grip when used as a standoff tool. More than just a breaching tool, this new design goes beyond single purpose. The Trulock Tactical Zombie Slayer produces improved downrange accuracy and performance for buckshot or rifled slug applications.

Like all Trulock Chokes, the Tactical Zombie Slayer is resistant to cracking, abrasion wear, corrosion and damage from common gun cleaning chemicals. The Tactical Zombie Slayer is backed by Trulock's lifetime warranty and its 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
I'm sure this choke would work just as well if finished in flat black or a blued finish. I don't see how neon green paint improves anything more than marketing performance. I guess you could make the argument that the neon green is easier to find in your range bag than something in black but even that is stretching it.

For Zombie Aficionados

I know zombies have jumped the shark. Still I couldn't resist when I saw this picture of Dorothy on Pinterest especially with the movie World War Z coming out this summer.

This Is Unpossible

I think most of us would agree that zombies and zombie movies have pretty much jumped the shark. Now we see a British-made movie, Cockneys vs Zombies, has come out.

It features the residents of the Bow Bells Care Home and a few of their grandchildren fighting off a horde of hungry zombies with full-auto AKs and M-16s.

I'm sorry but this is just implausible premise. Not the zombies but ordinary Brits having access to anything stronger than harsh words with which to fight them.

That is just umpossible in Her Majesty's gun-free paradise.

For The Mall Ninjas

This is the ultimate AK-47 Mall Ninja Tactical Zombie Destroyer with all the bells and whistles. It will wipe out hordes of zombies. You do need some arm strength to lift it if you want to take the requisite head shots needed to kill zombies. It is estimated to weigh 23 pounds unloaded.

Zombies Beware!

I'm in the middle of reading Mad Ogre's Uprising USA and then I see this!

A great job by Oleg, Linoge, and WizardPC! I don't know which is cooler - the Saiga Shorty or Linoge's sideburns.

Training For The Zombie Apocalypse

Firearms training is serious stuff. You remember "we do dangerous things". However, just because it is serious doesn't mean it can't be fun and innovative.

In this video - released on Halloween - Rob Pincus shows a class how to counter a Zombie ambush. It could just as easily be a mob of crazed anarchists from Occupy (Insert City Name) on a rampage who have surrounded your stalled vehicle.

It looks like a fun - and challenging - exercise.

I Like A Company With Humor

Brownells is getting on the Zombie bandwagon and doing it with a lot of humor. They have a set up a special webpage just in anticipation of the Zombie Apocalypse. Or maybe it is just because All Hallow's Eve is almost upon us.
The newly formed Brownells Center For Zombie Awareness (CZA) was created, as company President Pete Brownell said, "...because we all know the Zombie outbreak is coming and we want our customers to be educated, equipped and ready to engage the undead."

"Halloween is a well-known time for the recently deceased to become re-animated," Brownell continued, "and the CZA will play a vital role in winning the coming Zombie apocalypse. That's why we urge all concerned citizens to visit the CZA site immediately."

Videos to help educate the still-living and products to help them fend off the hordes can be found at www.brownells.com/zombie with special deals to save money while protecting the neighborhood.

At Brownells everything is guaranteed period! ...Forever, 100%, with no restocking fees. Founded in 1939, they supply more than 50,000 firearms parts, accessories, gunsmithing tools and ammunition to armorers, gunsmiths, and shooters worldwide. Brownells provides free tech help and there's no minimum order size or small order fees. However, the company will not ship products to those infected with the Zombie virus. To place an order, or for more information, call 800-741-0015 or visit www.brownells.com and mention code PIL
I just watched their video and its a hoot.  Like I said, I like a company with humor - and lots of gun parts!

May Is Zombie Awareness Month

Where have I been? I didn't even know that it was Zombie Awareness Month. The things you find out on the Interwebs!

I know the CDC just issued an advisory on how to handle a zombie apocalypse but they never mentioned anything about firearms. Must be why I missed the announcement of the Zombie Awareness Month.

So in honor of Zombie Awareness Month, I present Pitbull Daycare and their cover of REM's "The End of the World As We Know It".

Just in Time for Election Day

I'm sure we are all feeling a bit like zombies after months and months and months of political ads. Well, instead of feeling like a zombie, go shoot a zombie. And remember, head shots only!

They also make Nazi zombies as seen above. However, there is no word yet if the company that makes these targets will be coming out with Demo-Zombies after tomorrow's election.
