For Glock Fanboys

Pictures are starting to show up on the Internet of a new after market slide release for Glocks designed by Larry Vickers of Vickers Tactical. It will be for Glocks in 9mm and .40 S&W. The new slide release will be closer in design to the slide release for the S&W M&P, have a more positive surface for faster reloads, and sized for use by all hand sizes.

The new slide release will be made by TangoDown Products and is scheduled to be released within the next few weeks.

  2. The correct comparison would be to have photos of the Vickers vs. the Glock extended version. I'm not criticizing, just saying. The Vickers looks like it sticks out futher than the Glock extended part does.

  3. @K. Rihanek: You are probably right but these were the only photos that I found.

  4. I was taught (when I took NRA basic pistol) to jack the slide back, not thumb the slide release, to prevent wear and tear on the slide.

OTOH, it took me a bit to learn how NOT to ride the slide back...
