Sheriff Jim talks about staying on the trigger after taking the shot. This is something Tom Givens emphasized in our defensive pistol class at the LuckyGunner Memorial Day Blogger Shoot. Instead of taking your finger off the trigger, you keep it on it and only allow it to go forward far enough to reset the trigger.

Good stuff - I was just working with some friends on that very thing last Sunday at the range...
ReplyDeleteI tried that at last year's Rendezvous shooting steel, it was hard to remember at first, what with the energy of each shot, but when I did it worked very well. For me it was easier with the Sig that has a longer re-set (and I have long fingers), than with the short trigger and micro-reset of the 1911.
